NANOPROFILING LTD

Innovative microscopes for electrochemical analysis
Nanoprofiling LTD is a young company, whose activities are focused on the development of innovative electrochemical nanoprobes for local electrochemical analysis, in particular, ion-conducting microscopes.
The company develops biophysical and electrophysiological scanning methods that are of particular value for various types of research.

Disk-shaped carbon nanoelectrodes embedded into quartz nanopipette and platinum electrodes deposited at the tip of carbon electrodes. Tip size ≤ 150 nm. Diameter at the back end of the pipette is 0.5 mm that provides easy access for electrical connection using thin metal wire.

Electrodes Applications:
Electrodes can be used for neurotransmitter release detection, and also as a base for subsequent deposition/surface modification with materials/molecules of interest to form selective nanoprobes for example for intracellular detection of reactive oxygen species (ROS).
Electrodes
Double Barrel electrodes

Double barrel quartz pipette with none, one or both barrels filled with electrically conductive carbon. Tip diameter ≤ 200 nm.

Electrodes Applications:
Double barrel electrodes can be used for simultaneous topographical and electrochemical imaging (SICM-SECM).
In Vitro and In Vivo Electrochemical Measurement of Reactive Oxygen Species
In vivo monitoring of reactive oxygen species (ROS) in tumors during treatment with anticancer therapy is important for understanding the mechanism of action and in the design of new anticancer drugs.
The main advantages of this method are the short incubation time with the drug, and its high sensitivity which allows the detection of low intracellular ROS concentrations. We have shown that our new method can measure the ROS response to chemotherapy in tumor-bearing mice in real-time.
